Does God prepare the wife of a man that He calls to preach for the ministry; if so, then why do some wives have bitterness toward their husband's calling?
I believe he gives all necessary preparation for the lost to be saved, for the saved to do what He wants (baptism, church membership, church growth, etc.) and He provides all necessary preparation for a preacher to go where He leads him, including preparation of His wife. I see two reason a wife may be bitter.
#1 - She isn't right with God, whether she is lost or saved, she's out of God's will. This would cause bitterness towards God's will.
#2 - The husband/preacher has not put God first, family second and church third. He hasn't given himself to rule well his own house. He hasn't provided for his family. He hasn't done what is necessary to help his wife love the Lord, and the ministry. If you neglect your wife, you'll lose you can lose your wife, because she will feel neglected. How does being neglected make you feel? Maybe there are other reasons, but these are the two I see.
God knows all HIs works from the beginning. He prepares the wife. At any point in time, a preacher or his wife may become bitter, just as in falling into any other temptation. both must keep their eyes on Christ and do all things as unto the Lord. You are serving the Lord, not the church members. I have been blessed by a preacher's wife God prepared for me. I found her sitting on the organ bench of an ABA church. Her grandfather was an ABA pastor. She has helped me grow in the Lord and worked to help my ministry.

It's the man's fault, always the man's fault!
