Christ like? Convict? I think there is enough evidence to convict him, but not of being like Christ. Anyone who condones murder of innocent babies and even allows tax funding to go towards it, in my opinion, is not like Christ. As far as saying he is saved? His answer at the Rick Warren debate didn't sound like he was. I could be wrong, but his previous answer didn't sound convincing. I pray often if he isn't saved, he will be. And if he is, I pray he'll follow 2 Chronicles 7:14.
I can't say one way or the other whether he is saved, but if he's a Christian, I'd say he's a confused Christian. I agree with James Charles. I watched the Rick Warren forum and was not at all satisfied with Obama's answer.
Here's another question. Do you think Obama could have been selected (by God) to be our President for the sole purpose of making things WORSE in America? Not because he's an evil God, but because He so desperately longs for our return to Him. Throughout time, we see God trying to bring His people back to Him, and sometimes that requires allowing things to get pretty bad for them.
God used Nebuchadnezzar and Babylon to make things harsh on Judah, but also to save them from the rising Egyptians and Medo-Persia. He even said that the men of Judah who did not peacefully go into bondage would suffer much worse, and they did. The worst time in history for them thus far. I'd say it is possible, but more likely that God allows America to have Obama, knowing it will possibly give them another opportunity to turn back to Him. I don't remember who said it or the exact quote, but a phrase I like is "The people in a democracy will have the kind of leader they deserve and have deserved the kind of leader they have."
